Tom Dubbert earned his Master’s Degree from Georgia State University in 1980. He then attended Atlanta Area Technical College in 1983 and went on to work for Beaudry Ford, Wade Ford, and Hull’s Auto Service. Tom opened the doors to RDS Automotive Service in 1999 in pursuit to have a happier home-life balance as a working man and father. Tom and his wife, Martha, have taken RDS Automotive Service from a one-mechanic shop to the thriving business you see today. “Cars are our business. People are our priority." is the motto that drives their success. Fun fact: Tom and Martha have been married for over 40 years!
Paul O'Brien joined the RDS team in 2003. He was a paramedic in Lumpkin and Forsyth Counties from 1987 to 1997. He became an ASE Certified Technician in 1997 and started his journey towards happiness in the automotive world. Paul's extensive knowledge of Asian-Import vehicles is one of the most valuable assets we have at RDS! Fun fact: One of Paul’s favorite cars he’s ever owned is a 1980 Datsun 300 Z!
Julia “Buddy” Reynolds joined the RDS team in 2021. She took a unique path to the automotive world. Before becoming a technician, she was a professional ballet dancer! Now, Julia brings that same precision, discipline, and dedication to her work as an ASE Certified Technician. With 5 years of certified experience, she specializes in Ford and Asian-import vehicles. Fun fact: Julia’s first car was a 1988 Nissan-Datsun 300 ZX!
Matt DeFoor joined the RDS Team in 2023. He is our Service Manager and a proud Marine! Matt brings a unique skill set to the table. Before entering the Automotive Industry, he was a WMS Analyst, honing his incredible attention to detail. His time with the Marine Corps instilled leadership skills and dedication to every mission. After he transitioned into the Automotive Industry, he worked at Stivers Subaru. Matt is a performance car enthusiast; he rebuilt his first car, an award-winning 1980 Datsun 280ZX. Matt is a key part of our team, building trust and positive relationships with our customers every day. Fun fact: Matt and Julia are siblings!
